The Company operates restaurant chains under the names The Meshiya, which are cafeteria-style restaurants that serve home-style Japanese dishes, as well as Western and Chinese food; Machikadoya (The Meshiya 24), which are 24 hour fast food restaurants that provide Japanese set menus; Meshiya Shokudo, which are small-sized restaurants that serve Japanese meals; as well as Sanukiseimen, which offer sanuki noodles, riceballs, tempura (a kind of deep-fried Japanese food) and oden (a kind of boiled Japanese food), among others. The Company was founded in December 1973 and established on 25 July 1981. Its was changed the name to present name on 1 March 1991. Its shares were listed on JASDAQ Stock Exchange on December 14, 2006.
