The Supermarket division is engaged in the operation of supermarkets that sell food such as fruits and vegetables, dressed meat, fresh fish, prepared food, daily food and confectionery, among others; clothing products including women's and men's clothes, children's clothes, bed clothing, underwear and shoes, among others, as well as daily necessaries and other living related products. The Others division is engaged in the sale of books and compact discs (CDs), the rental of CDs and videos in franchise chain shops under the name TSUTAYA, as well as the provision of non-life insurance agency services. The Company was established on April 3, 1971. Its shares were registered over-the counter with Japan Securities Dealer Association on October 4, 2002 and delisted from Japan Securities Dealer Association in December 2004. Its shares were listed on JASDAQ Stock Exchange in December 2004.
