The Company is a Japan-based company that is mainly engaged in the operation of convenience stores. The Company operates in two business segments. The Convenience Store segment operates market-based and community-based convenience stores under the names POPLAR, SEIKATSU SAIKA, Kurashi House and Three Eight, which sell fast food, processed food, perishable food and others. The Others segment is involved in the food manufacture and wholesale business, the drug store operation business, the insurance agency business, as well as real estate management business. The Company was established on April 20, 1976. Its shares were registered over-the counter with Japan Securities Dealers Association on February 5, 1999. Its shares were listed on the second section of Tokyo Stock Exchange in February 2000 and later transferred to listed on the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange in August 2003.
