The Company is a Japan-based company engaged in the manufacture and sale of electric telecommunication, electrics and electronic equipment. The Company operates in two business divisions. The Electronics Equipment division offers audio and video (AV) and communication products, including liquid crystal color televisions, projectors, digital versatile disc (DVD) recorders and various telephones; health and environmental equipment, including refrigerators, microwaves and air conditioners, as well as information equipment, such as handy terminal equipment, electronics registers, liquid crystal color monitors, information displays and copy machines. The Electronic Component division provides liquid related products such as liquid crystal display modules, solar batteries, as well as other electronic devices, such as parts for satellite broadcasting, regulators and optical sensors. The Company was founded on September 15, 1912 and incorporated on May 2, 1935. Its shares were listed on Osaka Stock Exchange in May 1949 and listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange in March 1956. It is also listed on Nagoya Stock Exchange, Sapporo Stock Exchange and Fukuoka Stock Exchange.
